The variety belongs to the two-row spring barley type. Its genetic origin is based on the combination of parental lines Quench and the hybrid Perdita × Titan. The plant is intended for malting purposes.
Malt quality is characterized by a very high level of soluble nitrogen and a low level of beta-amylase. The fraction of grains over 2.8 mm in malting barley batches was recorded below average values. The variety demonstrates competitive yield, exceeding that of the Quench variety.
