The Fleet variety is the result of crossing the Mundah, Keel, and Barque varieties. The plant belongs to the mid-season maturity group and has a medium height.
The variety possesses resistance to cereal cyst nematodes (CCN) and also exhibits intermediate resistance to powdery mildew and net blotch. The grain is characterized as plump, however, the test weight may be slightly lower than that of a number of other varieties.
