Growth habit is intermediate or semi-prostrate. The ear is many-rowed, dense, short, parallel-shaped with long awns. The first segment of the ear rachis is characterized by a short length and medium to strong curvature.
Lower leaf sheaths are devoid of pubescence. Anthocyanin coloration of the flag leaf auricles is absent or very weak, the frequency of plants with a curved flag leaf is low.
