The variety is a winter six-row barley obtained as a result of controlled manual crossing of the parent forms HENRIETTE and CARGO in May 2010. Combinational breeding methods and haploid techniques were used during the breeding process.
The variety is intended for malting purposes. During selection, evaluations were conducted for yield indicators, test weight, resistance to diseases, lodging and straw strength, as well as winter hardiness, heading dates, and maturity. The variety has undergone testing for distinctness, uniformity, and stability.
