The variety is of the multi-row type and is used for feed purposes. The plant is characterized by a long-stemmed growth habit while maintaining good lodging resistance. The grain has a high test weight and excellent uniformity.

The variety is resistant to Barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV-1 and BaMMV), but is susceptible to Barley yellow dwarf virus and the BaYMV-2 strain. Resistance levels to fungal diseases: powdery mildew (3–4), scald (4), ramularia leaf spot (5), leaf rust (5), net blotch (6). Shows tolerance to drought.
