The variety is a spring two-row barley with the genetic pedigree S170-74 / Opal. The plant is of medium height. The ear is of medium length, dense, and nodding, with coarse awns. Seedlings have a green coleoptile and a semi-erect tillering habit. The flag leaf is narrow, long, dark green in color, and semi-erect.

The variety belongs to the mid-season maturity group. The grain has medium dimensions and a yellow aleurone layer. The crop is distinguished by high yield, increased protein content in the grain, and lodging resistance due to a strong straw.
