The plant reaches a height of 20–35 cm. The leaves have variegated coloring, combining green, yellow, and reddish-pink shades. In early or mid-summer, small white flowers bloom, gathered in spike-like inflorescences.

The variety is hardy and capable of growing both in dry soils and in moist coastal zones of water bodies. It is used in landscape design for decorating rock gardens and borders, as well as a container crop.
