The variety is a hybrid of Astilbe × arendsii and Astilbe japonica. It belongs to the early-flowering plant group, with blooming starting in late spring or early summer. The bush is compact, round-shaped, reaching a height of 30–41 cm with a width of 36–46 cm.
The plant has dense ruby-red paniculate inflorescences and dissected fern-like green foliage. The variety is resistant to diseases, lodging, and damage by deer and rabbits, and also shows increased tolerance to heat and drought. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 3a–8b.
The variety is suitable for growing in containers, use in landscape design for creating borders and mass plantings in shade gardens, and can also be used for cut flowers.
