The plant is a herbaceous perennial forming a dense, profusely branching bush 30 to 60 cm in height. The leaves are aromatic, gray-green in color, covered with dense pubescence on both sides, and have a pinnatisect shape.
The lemon-yellow flowers are gathered in upright corymbs. The variety is characterized by an early start of flowering, which continues from late spring until autumn if withered inflorescences are removed.
The crop prefers full sun exposure and well-drained soils. The plant is resistant to heat, drought, and damage by certain types of animals; stems may lodge under conditions of excessive moisture or soil fertility.
