Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid of Dicentra formosa and Dicentra peregrina. The plant forms a dense or spreading clump 20–30 cm tall with fern-like foliage that retains its decorative appeal throughout the season.

Flowers are heart-shaped, nodding, pale yellow-green in color with a white base and purple-red or pink tips. Flower stalks rise above the foliage level.

The peak of flowering occurs from late April to June; in cool climates, repeat flowering is possible until autumn frosts. The plant prefers partial shade and well-drained soils, is sensitive to waterlogging in the winter period, and is poisonous if ingested.
