Variety description

The variety is a compact shrub up to 1 meter wide with fine mid-green foliage. The plant tolerates full sun well and requires well-drained soils.
The flowering period occurs in the winter and spring months; the inflorescences have a bright color and attract birds and pollinating insects. The variety is used in landscape design for creating hedges and mass plantings on slopes.
The shrub is hardy and suitable for cultivation in coastal areas. An important feature is the potential ability of the plant to cause skin irritation upon contact in humans and some animals.
