Variety description

The plant is a perennial with an upright, densely leafy growth habit. The leaves are large, dark green with velvety pubescence; the underside of the leaf has a bright purple, almost black hue.
The inflorescences are terminal racemes of tubular bilabiate lavender-blue flowers; the length of the inflorescences reaches 24 cm. Flowering continues from summer to autumn; in greenhouse conditions, year-round flowering is possible.
The variety is thermophilic and not frost-hardy; it prefers partial shade, as the foliage can yellow in direct sunlight. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor and is used as a pot crop or an accent plant in arrangements.
