Variety description

The variety is a small tree with a pronounced weeping crown shape. At 10 years of age, it reaches a height and width of about 3 meters. In the absence of special pruning or grafting onto a rootstock, the plant may take on a prostrate growth habit.
The leaves are dark green in color, turning shades of orange-red or yellow-red in autumn. Flowering occurs in early spring; the flowers are pink and fragrant. The fruits of the plant have no culinary value.
The plant has good adaptability, prefers moist, fertile, well-drained soils and full sun exposure. Cold hardiness is about -29°C.
