Activehybrids between Prunus salicina Lindl. and Prunus persica (L.) Batsch · Fruit crops · bred by Floyd Zaiger (US)

Variety description
10 August 2026
The hybrid is used exclusively as a clonal rootstock for peach, nectarine, and apricot. Trees on this rootstock reach 35–70% of the size of trees on standard seedling rootstocks. The plant is characterized by reddish-bronze leaf coloration and decorative pink flowers, and is easily propagated by cuttings and micropropagation.
The rootstock is resistant to waterlogged soil, certain species of nematodes, and root rots. It promotes early entry of trees into bearing and an increase in the sugar content of the scion fruit. Compatibility issues with some peach and apricot varieties are possible, manifesting as a constriction at the graft union.
