The plant is a dense bushy shrub. Two years after planting it reaches a height of up to 90 cm with a width of 75 cm; an adult plant grows up to 1.5 meters. The leaves are oval in shape and reach sizes of 6.4 by 4 cm.

Flowering occurs from late spring to early summer with bright yellow flowers up to 2.5 cm in diameter. The berry fruits are also bright yellow and measure about 1 by 0.7 cm.
