The plant is a compact, densely branched deciduous shrub 60–90 cm tall. The leaves are narrow, resembling willow or rosemary leaves in shape, dark green in color. Bright yellow flowers are gathered in inflorescences and cover the bush abundantly.
The flowering period is long, lasting from July to September, with flowers forming on current-year shoots. The crop is characterized by high frost resistance, withstanding temperature drops down to -25...-29°C (USDA zones 4–8), as well as the ability to tolerate various soil types and drought.
The variety does not have serious problems with diseases and pests. The plant's leaves are toxic to livestock, therefore it is not intended for use as feed.
