The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Impatiens hawkeri with other balsam species. In temperate climatic conditions, it is grown as an annual crop, used in pot production, containers, and hanging baskets.
The plant is heat-loving and sensitive to temperature drops below 10–15°C. It requires a fertile, well-drained substrate and regular watering, exhibiting sensitivity to sharp temperature fluctuations and soil quality typical for this group of balsams.
