The Prep variety (sometimes synonym Prepona) was obtained as a result of controlled pollination. In breeding, it was used as a seed parent for the creation of other New Guinea impatiens hybrids.
In agronomic documentation, the variety serves as a reference object when evaluating new breeding samples for characteristics such as plant habit and flower size. Propagation of the variety is carried out vegetatively; the intended use is commercial floriculture.
