The variety belongs to the New Guinea Impatiens group and is known by the full commercial designation Impatiens Paradise Martinique (Kimart). The plant is a flowering herbaceous perennial that is often grown as an annual crop. It possesses fleshy stems, simple serrated leaves, and five-petaled flowers with spurs, characteristic of the genus.

Varieties of the Paradise series, to which Kimart belongs, are traditionally used in ornamental gardening for flower bed design and container cultivation. Precise agronomic characteristics, such as plant height or disease resistance indices, are not available in open publications.
