The plant is a fast-growing vine with a length of 2.4 to 4.5 meters, featuring cordate pubescent leaves. The large flowers, 5–7 cm in diameter, have a rich crimson or cherry-red hue with a characteristic white throat.

The variety belongs to annual crops with a flowering period lasting from summer to autumn. The plant is undemanding, prefers full sun or partial shade, and produces abundant self-seeding under favorable conditions. It is used for vertical landscaping and as a ground cover crop.
