The variety was obtained through a breeding program by crossing a maternal line with red flowers and good branching with a paternal line with dark green foliage and orange-red flowers.

The plant has dark green foliage and forms a dense bush. The variety is characterized by a compact growth type, which makes it suitable for use as an ornamental indoor crop.
