The variety is an interspecific Kalanchoe hybrid adapted for industrial year-round production. The plant is intended for use as a pot crop and is also found in lines for outdoor use.
External characteristics of the variety include pink flowers. Characteristic features of the Queen Originals group, to which SELENAQ2 belongs, are the large size of the inflorescences, expressive coloring, and resistance to ethylene.
