The variety is a compact plant with grass-like foliage, having approximately equal height and width of the bush. The inflorescences have a dense spicate torch-like shape.

The plant is day-neutral, prefers full sun and well-drained soils, and possesses drought tolerance. Suitable for cultivation in borders and containers, hardiness zone 6–9. Attracts bees and hummingbirds, resistant to deer.
