The variety Alezan is an early leaf lettuce for protected cultivation, forming voluminous and heavy rosettes with a well-closed base. When grown under low temperature conditions during the cold season, the plant leaves are colored in a cherry hue.
The plant possesses high resistance to a wide spectrum of lettuce powdery mildew races (Bl:16–36EU), lettuce aphid (Nr:0), and tomato bushy stunt virus. The variety is intended for sowing in the period from late summer to winter to obtain a yield in the winter season.
