The variety belongs to the Little Gem type (mini-romaine head lettuce). The plant forms a heavy, compact head of intense red color with dense leaves and a compact root zone; the head closes in a "fish mouth" type. The variety is intended for the winter growing cycle and is suitable for sale both as whole heads and as "hearts".
Possesses high resistance (HR) to lettuce downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races Bl: 29–35, 37, 38, 40, 41) and to lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri, race Nr:0).
