Challenge variety belongs to the Iceberg type and forms dense oblate heads weighing 400 grams or more. The plant leaves are bright green, blistered, with a wavy edge; the rosette reaches 30–40 centimeters in diameter. The leaves have a juicy and crispy texture.
The plant is resistant to bolting, high temperatures, lettuce mosaic virus, and downy mildew. The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field during the summer period and is suitable for staggered production.
