The variety forms large dense heads with dark green leaves featuring wavy and serrated edges. It originates from the Dalmatia region and was developed through selection from the New York lettuce variety. It is a traditional Slovenian variety.
The plant tolerates heat and drought periods well and bolts late, which ensures a stable harvest in summer. It is intended for open field cultivation and prefers heavier soils. The recommended planting distance is about 30 x 30 cm.
