The Estelle variety belongs to the head lettuce group (Lactuca sativa var. capitata). The plant forms a dense rosette of rounded leaves, reaching a height and width of 20–30 cm under optimal conditions.

Cultivation requires sunny sites with permeable, nutrient-rich soil. Sowing is possible from February to August, maintaining a row spacing of approximately 25 cm. Seedlings emerge in 6–15 days at a soil temperature of 10–16°C.

The plant is used fresh for preparing salads. Harvesting can begin from April.
