FRILL ICE
ActiveLactuca sativa L. · Lettuce
SVS Holland B.V.
10 August 2026
The variety forms quite large, high-round and dense heads of yellow-green color. Outer leaves are relatively smooth, fresh-green, with a characteristic sheen. Historically, the variety is often associated with "Passe Partout" or "Zwart Duits".
The plant is resistant to bolting, recommended primarily for early summer cultivation. Possesses a medium buttery texture. If left to stand in the field, it is prone to drying of the inner leaf margins and tip burn; non-uniform head density is also possible.
The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field or under glass with sowing from February to August. Currently, it is of importance primarily as a collector's or amateur crop.
