Kibolo RZ is a compact lettuce variety with green leaves and a yellow core. The plant has a semi-upright base, which facilitates the harvesting process. The variety belongs to the Salanova type, a feature of which is the separation of the head into many individual leaves with a single cut.
The variety has high resistance to downy mildew (strains Bl:29–40EU) and currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0), as well as intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt (strains Fol:1, 4). It is characterized by resistance to bolting and tipburn.
The variety is intended for cultivation in high-tech conditions, including hydroponic systems and vertical farms, as well as for sale on the fresh market and use in salad mixes.
