The variety Kiley RZ (breeding number 83-OA2224 RZ) belongs to the 'oak leaf lettuce' type. The plant forms bright green leaves, possesses high growth vigor, and good rosette filling. The lower part of the plant has a rounded, closed shape, which ensures convenience during cutting.
The variety possesses high resistance (HR) to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races 29–41 EU) and lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri, race 0). Intermediate resistance (IR) is noted to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV, race 1) and Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lactucae, race 4). The plant is resistant to internal necrosis and leaf tip burn.
Intended for cultivation in the open field. Depending on the climatic conditions of the region (north or south of France, Germany), it is suitable for spring, summer, and autumn harvest.
