The hybrid is a non-heading lettuce with a dense leaf rosette. The leaves have a crunchy texture and a coral edge, making them in demand in the food industry and the fast-food segment for preparing sandwiches and burgers. The plant is suitable for both whole-leaf use and processing.
The variety has the patented Knox trait, which prevents premature pinking of the cut leaf edges, extending the shelf life of the produce. The crop is versatile and can be grown in open field conditions or hydroponics during various seasons depending on the climatic zone.
The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races Bl:16-32, 34, 36, 39, 40EU) and currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0), and also shows intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1). Breeding focused on increasing resistance to bolting and tip burn.
