The variety belongs to the Romaine type and is intended primarily for winter cultivation in unheated and heated greenhouses or tunnels, although cultivation in open field is permissible. The plant possesses high growth energy, is resistant to bolting, and is not prone to leaf curling under conditions of insufficient light.
The plant forms dense, heavy heads with thick, soft leaves having a rounded edge and a wide base. The variety possesses high resistance to downy mildew (Bl:16–37EU, 39–41EU), currant-lettuce aphid (Nr:0), and Fusarium wilt (Fol:1), as well as intermediate resistance to lettuce mosaic virus (LMV:1).
