The variety belongs to the Batavia type, with a maturity period of 32 to 45 days. The rosette weighs 350–400 g; the leaves have strongly curled edges and a uniform, bright red-ruby color that is maintained even under low winter light conditions.
The plant possesses high resistance to bolting, high temperatures, and ultraviolet radiation, as well as to internal tipburn and a number of diseases. The produce is suitable for transportation and long-term storage and is intended for the fresh market.
