The variety belongs to the oak leaf lettuce type (feuille de chêne). The plant forms a voluminous rosette of dark red leaves with a wavy edge. It is intended for cultivation in open field, primarily during the spring and autumn periods.
The variety possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae, races Bl: 29–41EU) and lettuce aphid (Nasonovia ribisnigri, race Nr:0). It is characterized by high tolerance to physiological marginal leaf burn and resistance to premature bolting.
