The variety belongs to the red oakleaf lettuce group. The plants form intensely red leaves; the recommended planting density is 9–11 plants per 1 m².

The variety is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and tunnels during the short-day period. It possesses resistance to downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl: 1–30 and to lettuce aphid.
