The variety belongs to the Oak Leaf type and forms a voluminous rosette with red leaves. The plant is characterized by a delayed transition to the flowering phase, which allows for an extended harvest period.
This variety is suitable for cultivation in open field, unheated film greenhouses, as well as using the hydroponic cultivation method. It possesses high resistance to lettuce downy mildew (Bremia lactucae) races Bl:16–23, 25, 31, 32EU.
The produce of the variety is oriented towards the ready-to-eat market and the baby-leaf segment. Scientific studies also note the use of this variety in studying the influence of ultraviolet radiation on the accumulation of phenolic compounds and antioxidant activity.
