The variety was obtained by crossing European varieties with large-flowered Californian forms. Breeding work was aimed at creating a plant adapted to the local climate, capable of producing high-quality seeds and suitable for cutting.
The plant forms inflorescences bearing from 4 to 7 flowers of a deep purple-red shade. Flower stems reach a length of 25–35 cm. Characterized by vigorous growth and a tendency towards early maturity.
