The variety is an Asiatic hybrid (division I(a-b/c)). The international registry also mentions another variety with an identical name belonging to the OT-hybrid group, which requires clarification of the originator for identification.

The inner and outer sides of the petals are colored a saturated purple-red, with the petal tips having a lighter shade. A small number of spots and papillae are observed on the petal surface.
