The Encounter variety belongs to Asian lily hybrids. This vigorous plant reaching up to 80 cm in height is distinguished by large bright red flowers, the base of whose petals has a lighter coloration. A characteristic feature is the absence of spotting on the flowers.

The variety was obtained as a result of a complex cross ('Sterling Star' x 'Connecticut King') x 'Gran Paradiso'. During observations, no signs of viral diseases were noted in plants of this variety. The lily is suitable both for cultivation in the garden and for cut flowers.
