The Helmar lily is an LA-hybrid. Its flowers have a white color, and young buds are distinguished by a cream tint. There are greenish-white veins on the petals, and well-defined yellow-green central veins at the base. The variety has no spots or papillae on the petals.

The Helmar tulip belongs to the «Triumph» class and reaches a height of 40–70 cm. The plant forms large goblet-shaped flowers of a lemon-yellow color, decorated with ruby-red or burgundy «flame» streaks. The variety blooms in April–May, is resistant to weather conditions, and is suitable for cutting.
