The Magny Cours variety belongs to the group of Oriental hybrids. The plant is dwarf, reaching a height of 30 to 55 cm. Stems are straight, strong, and densely leafy.

Flowers are large, with a diameter of 16 to 23 cm, and possess a pronounced aroma. The petal color is dark purple-red, burgundy-type, with a characteristic white throat and border along the edge. In a number of cases, an absence of pollen on the flowers is noted.

Flowering occurs in mid-to-late summer, during the July–August period. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 4–5, and resistance to fungal diseases. Thanks to its compact size, the lily is suitable for cultivation in pots, on terraces, in borders, and in the foreground of flower beds.
