The Stratford variety belongs to the group of Oriental hybrids (Oriental, RHS classification: VII(a/b)). The plant is characterized by specific coloration: the inner side of the inner perianth segments is white with a pale greenish-yellow shade along the midrib, and the inner side of the outer perianth segments is pale greenish-yellow with white edges.

The variety is perceived as having a monochrome white color. The plant is intended for ornamental use in gardening.
