The variety Sun City is an LA-hybrid obtained as a result of crossing seedlings AZ DJ042 and LA T.

The inner side of the petals has a bright yellow-orange color, transitioning to a saturated orange color towards the edges; the throat of the flower is colored in a pale orange-yellow tone. Brown-purple spots are present on the petals; papillae are absent.
