The variety «Yellow Sun» belongs to the group of Asiatic hybrids. Its breeding was conducted by a group of Korean specialists within the framework of programs for developing new lily cultivars.

A distinctive morphological feature of this variety is the presence of bicolored petal coloration, combining yellow and orange shades.
