The Zaragoza variety belongs to the LA-hybrid group, obtained as a result of interspecific crossing between Longiflorum and Asiatic. These hybrids combine large flower size with high disease resistance and good growth performance.

The plant does not have double flowers. Due to its purpose and origin from a breeding company specializing in commercial floriculture, the variety is oriented toward cultivation as a cut flower crop.
