The plant forms dense clumps 80–90 cm in height, visually resembling cereal crops or a stemless grass tree. The variety is a natural mutation (sport) of the plant «Cassica» and is propagated vegetatively.
The variety possesses high tolerance to unfavorable climatic conditions, including winds and temperatures down to -7...-10°C. Due to rigid leaves and a powerful root system, the bush is resistant to lodging and suitable for soil stabilization, preventing erosion.
During the period from September to October under Australian conditions, it forms small fragrant inflorescences of yellow color. The plant does not require annual pruning and is widely used in landscape design for mass plantings, creating windbreak barriers, and decorating container gardens.
