The Dema variety is an ornamental perennial belonging to the species Malva sylvestris. The height of the mature plant varies from 1 to 1.5 meters. The primary external feature of the variety is its blue, dark violet, or blue-cyan colored flowers.
The plant is used in ornamental gardening. The species may be susceptible to Malva vein clearing potyvirus, which is transmitted by aphids.
