The plant is a fast-growing vine with climbing stems that become slightly woody at the base. The dark green glossy leaves are ovate or obovate in shape with a pointed apex.

Flowering is characterized as abundant and prolonged from spring to autumn. The flowers are large, funnel-shaped, pure white in color with a yellow throat.

The variety is thermophilic, does not tolerate frost, and prefers bright diffused light or full sun. It requires well-drained soil and regular watering; depending on conditions, it can reach from 1.8 to 6 meters in height.

All parts of the plant are poisonous; the sap can cause skin irritation. It is used in landscape design in warm regions and as a potted crop for indoor landscaping.
