The variety is the result of breeding using the species Mecardonia procumbens, Mecardonia caespitosa, and Mecardonia dianthera. The plant has prostrate, densely branching shoots and small leaves.
Flowering begins early and continues continuously. In trade, the variety is also known under the names Prima Lemon Yellow and Early Yellow.
